1 dead, 1 seriously injured in Suffolk crash
SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A passenger is dead and a driver seriously injured after an early morning accident Sunday in Suffolk. Police said it happened at 2:30 a.m. in the 6800 block of Respass Beach Road. Emergency crews found two adult men involved in the single-vehicle crash. One was pronounced dead at the scene, the other airlifted to a local hospital. Respass Beach Road was shut down for three hours but reopened later Sunday morning. Police have not released the men's names. The cause is under investigation.
