1 dead, 1 hospitalized after Missaukee County crash; suspect arrested on OWI charges
MISSAUKEE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A reported head-on crash involved a pickup truck and an off-road vehicle in Missaukee County. Friday, around 5:30 p.m., deputies from the Missaukee County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the area of Falmouth and Dorr Road in Holland Township. Upon arrival, two people were found with severe injuries. One died while being transported to the hospital and one was sent to Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital. The suspect vehicle fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival but was later located after Missaukee County dispatch received information about the suspect vehicle and driver's location. A 37-year-old man from Falmouth, Michigan, was arrested on the following charges: Operating while intoxicated causing death Operating while intoxicated causing serious injury Tampering with evidence The suspect is expected to be arraigned in the 84th District Court on Monday.
