1 dead, 1 injured in Mifflin County motorcycle crash

MIFFLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A wrong-way motorcycle crash left one person deceased and another hospitalized in Mifflin County Monday evening. According to State Police in Lewistown, the crash occurred in the area of 5142 US Highway 522 in Decatur Township at 7:30 p.m. on March 9. Troopers say a Toyota was traveling south on Highway 522 when it crossed over the center lane and into the northbound lane of travel. An oncoming motorcycle, Troopers say, was unable to avoid the collision and was struck by the Toyota. State Police say the motorcycle driver, later identified as Jeremy Rhodes, 46, of Beaver Springs, Pa., was ejected and sustained major injuries. He was transported to a hospital and was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the Toyota was also hospitalized with minor injuries, Troopers added.
