YPSO: Pedestrian-involved crash on Old Williamsburg Road causes road closure
YORKTOWN, Va. (WAVY) -- The York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office is investigating a pedestrian-involved crash on Old Williamsburg Road, prompting road closure. The area of 908 Old Williamsburg Road will be closed while an investigation is conducted, according to a Facebook post. YPSO's Accident Reconstruction Team is currently on scene. If traveling from York County, motorists can still access the Naval Weapons Station gate, but traffic will not be permitted beyond that point. If traveling past the gate, use Route 17. If traveling from Newport News, the sheriff's office urges motorists to detour at Crafford Road. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible, use an alternate route and expect delays.
