Woman killed in rollover crash in southeast Kansas
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - The Kansas Highway Patrol said a 76-year-old Chanute woman was killed Friday when the SUV she was riding in left the road and overturned. It happened on the 1150th Street ramp to U.S. Highway 169 northeast of Chanute just before 8 a.m. The KHP said a Chevy Tahoe was on the ramp when it left the road and rolled over on its top. Thalia K. Green, a passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, an 80-year-old man, was taken to KU Medical Center with serious injuries. The woman wasn't wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, the KHP crash report stated.
