Woman killed in Delaware County crash
DELAWARE COUNTY, Ind. — A woman was killed during a crash in Delaware County on Tuesday. Deputies from the Delaware County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 5700 block of West Cornbread Rd. at approximately 5:55 p.m. on a report of a serious motor vehicle crash. The preliminary investigation found that a Buick Envoy was traveling westbound on Cornbread Road, while a Chevrolet HHR was traveling eastbound. One of the vehicles allegedly crossed the center line and the two vehicles collided head-on, according to a release from the DSCO. A woman from Yorktown was driving the Chevrolet HHR, and was pronounced dead on the scene. The Buick Envoy was occupied by two juveniles and one adult from Muncie. They were transported to an area hospital for treatment. This crash is under investigation by the Delaware County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Team.
