Woman killed in crash with tractor-trailer in Ector County
ECTOR COUNTY — A woman is dead following a collision involving a tractor-trailer. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Logan Alicia Brooks, 23, of Prentiss, Mississippi, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. DPS stated that the collision occurred at approximately 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at the intersection of West 42nd Street and Farm to Market Road 866. Preliminary information from the DPS report indicates a 2017 Nissan Altima was westbound on 42nd Street, while a 2018 Freightliner with a towed trailer was northbound on FM 866. The driver of the Nissan disregarded the stop sign at the intersection of 42nd Street and FM 866 and collided with the Freightliner. This crash remains under investigation, and no additional information has been released at this time.
