Woman hospitalized in suspected DUI hit-and-run crash on north end of Las Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries in a suspected DUI hit-and-run crash on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip early Saturday morning. Around 2:50 a.m., Metro police responded to a report of a woman who was hit by a vehicle that left the scene of the accident in the area of Las Vegas Boulevard and Sahara Avenue, police said. Shortly after, officers located the suspect, who was impaired, according to Metro police. The driver was arrested on charges related to the accident. The woman was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. Traffic in the area was still impacted as of 8:40 a.m. Saturday as police conducted their investigation.
