Woman hospitalized after ATV accident in Darke County
DARKE COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF) -- A woman was hospitalized after being hit by an ATV, driven by her husband. According to the Darke County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to an accident on the 9800 block of Grandview Drive around 11:56 a.m. today. Deputies say a 73-year-old man, Thomas Sargent, was riding on an ATV and was backing up when he hit his wife, Teresa Sargent, 72, who was kneeling beside the vehicle. Deputies and Bradford firefighters helped to get Teresa out from underneath the ATV. Emergency crews then brought her to Upper Valley Hospital to treat her injuries. Her condition is unknown at this time. The Darke County Sheriff's Office is investigating this incident. Dayton 24/7 Now will provide updates as more information becomes available.
