Woman from Galesburg detained following deadly crash in November
A Galesburg woman is currently in custody at the Knox County Jail following her alleged involvement in a deadly collision that occurred in November. Galesburg police were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on November 22nd on South Lake Storey Road, where both drivers, Marte Glass, 72, and Ashley England, 32, were found injured; Glass unfortunately passed away from her injuries on November 30th. England was later arrested on December 23rd by the Illinois State Police in Peoria on various charges related to the incident, including aggravated DUI and reckless homicide. She is currently detained at Knox County Jail, with a petition to deny pretrial release being filed on December 26th. A preliminary hearing for England is scheduled for January 13th, and the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
