Woman dies in single-vehicle crash at Springfield intersection
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A woman has died after a crash at a Springfield intersection early Sunday morning. Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh states that on Sunday at around 12:25 a.m., officers were sent to a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Sumner Avenue and Sorrento Street. The driver of the vehicle died in the accident due to her injuries. Officials have not released the woman's identity at this time. The cause of the crash has not been released. The Springfield Police Department's Traffic Unit is investigating.
