Woman charged with 2 counts of vehicular homicide and DUI following fatal crash

A woman has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide and DUI following a fatal crash that happened in August, according to the Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff's Office. Elizabeth Adiah-Anne Blevins, 23, was charged. According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, the crash happened on August 30, 2025, on Highway 11E near Grandview Elementary School. The crash claimed the lives of David Doty and Donna Doty, both of Chuckey. Investigators determined that Blevins was traveling westbound when she lost control of her vehicle and crossed into the eastbound lane, striking a Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by the victims. The crash reconstructionists submitted a blood sample obtained on the day of the crash to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for analysis. Results showed Blevins had a blood alcohol content of 0.19, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08. A Washington County grand jury returned a presentment on May 15. Blevins was taken into custody on Tuesday without incident. She was taken to the Washington County Detention Center. Bond was set at $100,000, which she posted.
