Woman charged in deadly motorcycle collision in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) - A woman was charged in a deadly motorcycle collision in Asheville, according to police. On February 14, a 2024 Kawasaki ER650 motorcycle, operated by 27-year-old Tylor Russell Holzhauser, was traveling south on New Leicester Highway, and was approaching the Eliada Home Road intersection when it struck a 2013 Toyota Prius that was attempting to male a left-hand turn onto Eliada Home Road. Holzhauser was ejected from the motorcycle and reportedly died on the scene. 56-year-old Jennifer Louise Saylor, the driver of the Toyota, was charged with death by vehicle and unsafe movement. Saylor is being held at the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $5,000 bond.
