Woman airlifted after rollover accident in Bergen
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A woman was airlifted following a rollover accident in Bergen on Monday afternoon, according to New York State Police. The crash happened around 1 p.m. on Townline Road. The driver, a woman in her early 20s, is believed to have had a medical issue that caused her to go off the ride of the road after hitting a pole and a fire hydrant. The car rolled over end-over-end. The driver was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester to be treated for serious injuries. A baby less than a year old, who was helped out of the vehicle by several area farmers, was not seriously hurt. Police did not give any additional information as to what exactly caused the crash or what the medical issue was.
