Woman accused in deadly hit-and-run crash, according to Asheville police.
A woman from Virginia is facing legal consequences following a tragic pedestrian accident in Virginia, as reported by the Asheville Police Department. The incident occurred on January 3 on the I-240 East, Exit 7 off-ramp. A preliminary investigation found that a 2019 Ford Flex struck a pedestrian named Daniel Duryea, 33, who unfortunately succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the vehicle initially called 911 but then left the scene. Later, Duryea was hit by a second vehicle, whose driver stayed on-site. The authorities charged Shaina Dallachiesa, 37, with felony hit and run causing severe injury or death, as well as driving with a revoked license.
