Winter Haven man dies in SR 60 accident after not stopping for truck
A tragic incident occurred early Sunday morning on State Road 60 involving a Winter Haven man who lost his life after crashing into the back of a tractor-trailer. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the 29-year-old man was driving a Honda Accord at a high speed in the Plant City area when he failed to stop for the Freightliner Cascadia tractor trailer that was stopped at a rail crossing. The collision resulted in the man's death at the scene, while the 62-year-old truck driver, who was transporting molten sulfur, did not sustain any injuries.
