Westbound I-70 near Denver reopens following semi-truck accident

A semi-truck accident caused the shutdown of the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near Georgetown, Colorado on Saturday, however, the lanes have since been reopened. The accident occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. with the road reopening around 3 p.m. Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office confirmed that there were no injuries. Traffic had to be redirected off exit 228, causing significant delays. Video footage from the Colorado Department of Transportation showed emergency responders and CDOT crews present at the crash site, including a heavy-duty tow truck. The truck's contents were transferred to another vehicle to clear the roadway before the crashed truck was removed.
