Weather suspected to play role in multiple-vehicle crash and jack-knifed trucks on I-90 in Lake County

A section of Interstate 90 in Lake County was shut down on Tuesday due to several semi-trucks that had jackknifed. The closure lasted until around 1:40 p.m. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on I-90 East at State Route 615 in Concord. FOX 8's DroneFOX captured an aerial view of the scene. The closure was a result of a chain of crashes following a deputy investigating a disabled vehicle complaint. The accident involved four tractor-trailers and two cars and was attributed to unsafe speed in the poor road and weather conditions. The road closure lasted three hours and fortunately, there were no injuries reported. Speed limits on I-90 in the region have been reduced due to the weather.
