Washington County head-on crash kills one, injures three
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Mo. - A 30-year-old Leasburg woman died and three others suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash on Route 8 in Washington County late Friday. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened just after 5 p.m. east of Otter Tail Road. Troopers said a Dodge Ram was heading east and passing several vehicles in the westbound lane when it struck a Volkswagen Jetta head-on. The Jetta’s driver died at the scene. A 10-year-old girl riding in the Jetta was flown to a hospital with serious injuries. The 21-year-old pickup driver and his 20-year-old passenger were also seriously hurt.
