VSP: Fatal single-vehicle crash in Pittsylvania County

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) - Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash, resulting in the death of a 57-year-old man. The crash happened on Thursday, May 14, at 4:54 p.m. on Route 750, one mile north of Callands Road in Pittsylvania County. VSP says a 2002 GMC was traveling north when the vehicle lost control and overturned. State police identified the driver as 57-year-old John Henry Sasser, Jr., of Pittsylvania, Va. VSP says Sasser was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.
