Video shows possible Queen Creek hit-and-run involving driver going the wrong way

Wrong-way collisions are a recurring issue in the Valley, with one captured on camera recently. Kahalae Huff, who was approaching her wedding day, was struck by a car that suddenly turned in front of her, as recorded by her dashboard camera. The incident took place near Rittenhouse Road and Gary Road in Queen Creek. Two men emerged from the vehicle that hit her, joined later by two others who came from a nearby business to check on the situation. After assessing the damage and briefly examining inside her vehicle, the four men left. Queen Creek Police informed Huff that the car involved had been borrowed and was not their property. Despite Huff submitting the footage and details to the authorities, she received an email on December 6 stating that her case had been closed due to insufficient grounds for further inquiry, without providing specific reasons. Huff expressed concern about the closure, especially since the individuals responsible for the crash have not been identified. She emphasized the importance of bringing them to justice to prevent similar incidents. Dealing with ongoing neck and back discomfort from the accident, which caused $5,000 in damages, Huff is eager to see accountability. The Queen Creek Police Department is investigating the situation and preparing to issue a statement, following outreach by FOX 10. Ultimately, the officer in charge of Huff's case has reconnected with her to discuss the matter further.
