Video shows helicopter dropping after collision in NJ
A tragic incident occurred in Hammonton, New Jersey, where two helicopters collided midair shortly after taking off from Hammonton Municipal Airport. This led to one pilot losing their life and the other sustaining severe injuries, with the second pilot tragically passing away the following day. The helicopters crashed a mile away from the airport, with one of them catching fire upon impact. Fortunately, the crash site was not near any populated or industrial areas. The cause of the collision is still being investigated, and the identities of the pilots have not been released. Witnesses, including Sal Silipino, who saw the helicopters go down, expressed shock and disbelief at the tragic event. It was revealed that the two pilots had breakfast together before the fateful flight, as they were regular visitors to Silipino's restaurant. Reports suggest that the pilots, who were experienced in flying in the area, may have been flying too closely together, leading to the collision. Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel mentioned that the pilots were friends and had flown together before, making the incident even more heartbreaking.
