Victim from Summers County airlifted to hospital following car crash in West Virginia
In Pipestem, West Virginia, emergency officials in Summers County have confirmed that one person was airlifted to Roanoke, Virginia following a car crash at approximately 6:23 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025. The accident, involving a single vehicle, took place near Pipestem Falls on Route 20. Responding to the incident were the Pipestem Volunteer Fire Department, Summers County EMS, and West Virginia State Police. Loyd Lowry, the Summers County Office of Emergency Management/911 Director, informed 59News that the sole occupant managed to extricate themselves from the vehicle before being airlifted to Roanoke for treatment of primarily facial injuries.
