U.S. 50 fatal crash investigation ongoing
A motorcyclist was killed Sunday morning in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 50 east of Twin Bridges, according to authorities. The crash occurred at approximately 11:15 a.m. near Slippery Ford Road. Investigators say a BMW motorcycle was traveling eastbound on U.S. 50 when it crossed into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a Lincoln SUV traveling in the opposite direction. Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but the motorcycle rider died at the scene. Authorities have not determined whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
