TRAFFIC ALERT: Crash closes Route 57 near Medina
(WJW) -- A three-vehicle crash on Thursday morning, June 25, is expected to keep part of state Route 57 closed for several hours. FOX 8's Patty Harken just after 6 a.m. reported the crash at Wadsworth and Poe roads in Montville Township, Medina County. It's on the Interstate 71 overpass. Dispatchers told Harken that at least one person suffered severe injuries. Harken reported a medical helicopter left the scene just before 7 a.m., headed toward Akron. Officials have closed Wadsworth Road (state Route 57) in both directions from the Sharon Copley Road intersection (state Route 162) to Poe Road. Police told Harken they expect the road to be closed for several hours. Motorists should detour around the scene using Sharon Copley Road (state Route 162) and River Styx Road.
