U.S 41 near 641 bypass reopens after semi accident
VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO-WAWV) -- UPDATE: U.S. 41 is back open as of Friday morning, according to Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames. An accident in Vigo County shut down part of U.S. Hwy. 41. Around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, a semi overturned on U.S. 41 south of the 641 bypass and north of the Loves truck stop. Our crew on the scene said the southbound lanes were closed as of about 10 pm. Our crew also observed a large hole in the highway. Officials say the road will be closed for a time and to avoid the area. More information as it becomes available.
