Upstate crash results in one fatality, according to coroner
A fatal accident in Liberty, South Carolina, occurred on Friday night, resulting in the death of one individual. The incident occurred at approximately 6:13 p.m. on Old Greenville Highway by Burdett Drive. Reports from the South Carolina Highway Patrol indicate that a 2011 Toyota Avalon veered off the road and collided with a tree while traveling west on Hwy 88. The driver, identified as 83-year-old Richard Hagins from Camden, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Anderson County Coroner's Office. Authorities are currently investigating the crash.
