Two-vehicle crash in Fond du Lac County, woman seriously injured, Sheriff’s Office says

AUBURN, Wis. (WFRV) - The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle crash in the Town of Auburn earlier on Friday. The Sheriff's Office Communications Center reports receiving a 911 call at approximately 12:05 p.m. regarding a crash with injuries. Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office, along with personnel from Campbellsport Fire Department and Campbellsport Ambulance, responded to the intersection of County Highway V and Haven Drive in Auburn. Preliminary investigations indicate that an eastbound SUV, driven by a 16-year-old Campbellsport resident, stopped at a stop sign on Haven Drive but failed to yield the right-of-way when attempting to cross County Highway V, continuing eastbound. The vehicle came into contact with a northbound SUV being operated by a 55-year-old Campbellsport woman. The driver of the eastbound SUV and their two juvenile passengers were transported by ambulance to Froedtert Hospital in West Bend to attend to minor injuries. The 55-year-old woman, the only one in the car, was transported by ambulance to SSM Health in Fond du Lac with serious injuries. No further information has been released, and the crash remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office. WFRV will continue to update this story as more details are announced.
