CHICAGO — Two people were killed in a single-car crash overnight in the West Loop, according to Chicago police. Police say officers responded to the crash in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street around 2:15 a.m. Sunday and found a white sedan on fire after it had crashed into a highway support column. The Chicago Fire Department was on scene putting the fire out, and police say two people were found inside the car. They were pronounced dead at the scene. A witness who called 911 said the car was drag racing with another vehicle. No other details are available at this time, and police say the crash is under investigation.
