Two NY state police troopers taken to hospital after cruiser catches fire in crash

Two New York State troopers were taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after a crash at the intersection of Route 374 and Rand Hill Road caused a state police cruiser to catch fire. The crash happened before 7:30 a.m. Two police cruisers and a Jeep Compass were involved.New York State Police said a Jeep Compass rear-ended one of the police vehicles at the intersection of State Route 374 and Rand Hill Road, pushing it into the second cruiser.The first police cruiser then caught fire, officials said.The Cadyville Fire Department and Morrisonville Fire Department were called to the scene. Officials said two state police troopers were receiving treatment.
