Two killed; one hospitalized after fatal crash in Lewis County
LYONSDALE, N.Y. (WWTI) - Two people have died as a result of a two-car crash that took place Thursday night on the Marmon Road in the town of Lyonsdale. The Lewis County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to the scene near 3823 Marmon Road. During the investigation, it was allegedly determined that a black 2022 BMW four-door sedan, operated by 26-year-old Jeremiah Kim of Utica was traveling eastbound on Lyonsdale Road. The vehicle then allegedly exited the roadway at a high rate of speed, overturned, and became submerged in the Moose River. Kim was pronounced deceased while being transported to Lewis County General Hospital despite life-saving measures being performed on him. Kim's passenger, later identified as Brody Webster, 18, of Herkimer, was also pronounced dead. A second vehicle, a 2021 Mazda CX-5 operated by 21-year-old Christ Poh, also exited the roadway, struck a tree, and came to rest partially submerged in the water. He was able to exit the vehicle on his own before being transported to Wynn Hospital, where he was treated for unspecified injuries. New York State Police; Port Leyden Fire Department and Ambulance; Lyons Falls Fire Department and Ambulance; Glenfield Fire Department; Constableville Ambulance; Boonville Ambulance; New Bremen Fire Department; Martinsburg Fire Department; New York State Environmental Conservation Police; members of the Lewis County Dive Team; Lewis County Search and Rescue; Groffs Towing; and the Region 6 Spill Response Team all assisted the Sheriff's Department
