Two injured, one killed in Lawrence County accident
**Editor's Update: Recent Information** PROCTORVILLE, Ohio (WOWK) — Tragically, one individual has been reported deceased following a collision on a highway in Lawrence County. The incident, involving two vehicles, occurred on State Route 7 near Township Road 1303 in Union Township at approximately 3:39 p.m. As disclosed by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the accident involved a vehicle driven by an 84-year-old named Robert L. Ramsey from Proctorville. Ramsey's eastbound vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound vehicle operated by a 60-year-old man from Chesapeake. Ramsey was later pronounced dead at Cabell Huntington Hospital, and the road was temporarily shut down. The response to the scene involved the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Lawrence County EMS, and the Proctorville Fire Department. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
