Two hospitalized after single-vehicle crash at Lake of the Ozarks

Two people were involved in a single-vehicle crash on Thursday in Camden County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported that a 2013 Dodge Ram 3500 was traveling northbound on MO-5, just south of Sellers Road. Around 6:14 p.m., the truck traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a sign and began to overturn. The driver then crossed back to the center of the roadway, where they struck another sign. The Dodge finally went off the left side of the road, down an embankment and came to a rest. The 28-year-old male driver was moderately hurt during the crash, but the 26-year-old female passenger was seriously injured. Both occupants from Butler, Mo., were transported to Lake Regional Hospital by Lake West EMS. MSHP noted that neither of the persons involved wore a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
