Surry County EMS says two people are dead and two more are injured after a crash on North Main Street and West Oakdale Street in Mount Airy. Officials say two people were pronounced dead at the scene and two patients were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Mount Airy Police say the crash happened around 1:40 Sunday afternoon, and that two people died after one of the vehicles went up in flames.
