Two dead, three injured in head-on crash north of Tuscaloosa

Video above: Weather forecastA multi-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County has killed two people and injured multiple others.The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said Abigail Woods, 20, was killed when the vehicle she was driving collided head-on with a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old from Northport. Sierra Jackson, 19, a passenger in Woods' vehicle, was also killed. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.The incident happened just after midnight Saturday, March 21.Two other passengers in Woods' vehicle and the 17-year-old Northport driver were injured and taken to a hospital for treatment.ALEA said the crash happened on U.S. 43, about 11 miles north of Tuscaloosa.The cause of the crash is under investigation by ALEA's Highway Patrol Division.This is a developing story and will be updated as information becomes available.
