Two cars overturn in collision north of Durham, shutting down Red Mill Road
A serious crash involving a car and SUV occurred on Sunday evening near Falls Lake in northeast Durham. The incident took place at the intersection of Red Mill Road and Glenn Road shortly after 8:30 p.m., leading to the closure of Red Mill Road in both directions. By 10:15 p.m., the road was still shut down due to dense fog in the area. The vehicles involved sustained significant damage, with both appearing to have overturned, and one possibly ending up in a ditch. Clean-up crews began removing the wreckage around 10 p.m., and the road was reported reopened by the NCDOT just after 11 p.m. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the crash.
