Truck driver says pothole caused I-70 rollover accident
CLAY COUNTY - (WTWO/WAWV) - No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident in Clay County that closed I-70 for over two hours on Sunday night. According to the Clay County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred at around 6:45 pm Sunday when a semi overturned in the westbound lane of I-70 near the 23-mile marker. The driver of the semi, who was not injured, told police that he hit a pothole and lost control of his semi. Traffic was backed up on the interstate while crews worked to get the wreck cleared. I-70 was re-opened at 9:15 pm.
