Truck crash causes steel beams to block lanes on I-95 in Richmond
A truck driver was injured in an accident involving a box truck and a tractor-trailer on Interstate 95 near the Belvidere Street exit in downtown Richmond, VA. The crash resulted in the closure of several lanes in both directions. According to a spokesperson from the Virginia State Police, the box truck hit the center Jersey wall and the tractor-trailer overturned. The tractor-trailer was carrying around 40,000 pounds of steel or aluminum beams, which spilled onto all southbound lanes. The incident occurred around 6:39 a.m., and the southbound lanes remained shut during the morning rush hour for cleanup.
