Trooper crashes during pursuit in Grady County, Oklahoma
An Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer was involved in a crash during a pursuit in Grady County on Monday. The incident occurred near County Street 2920 and County Road 1400, located in the southeast part of the county. The trooper was chasing a suspect with active warrants for felony crimes. The pursuit, which involved speeds of up to 120 mph on dirt roads, led to a collision between the trooper and the suspect. The suspect briefly eluded capture by hiding in a nearby field before fleeing in the original truck he was driving. Despite sustaining minor injuries, law enforcement officials were unable to apprehend the suspect by 5:30 p.m., although they have had prior encounters with him. Medical personnel were present at the scene to attend to those involved.
