Trial set for Halloween 2025 fatal Highway 50 scooter crash in Jefferson City
A trial has been scheduled for the man accused of a fatal crash on Highway 50 in Jefferson City on Halloween 2025. A grand jury indicted Jervontaye Warmack with Second Degree Involuntary Manslaughter, DWI, and two counts of First Degree Endangering Welfare of Child Creating Substantial Risk. His trial was scheduled for August 10, 2026, in Cole County Court. The crash happened on Friday, October 31, 2025, in the 3600 block of Highway 50 in Jefferson City. Court documents state that Jefferson City Police were called to the scene at 6:54 p.m. The scooter crossed the westbound lanes of Highway 50 and was hit by a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe. The scooter’s operator died in the crash.
