The flight had departed from Cúcuta and was headed to Ocaña, a journey that typically lasts about 40 minutes. Although the cause of the crash remains unknown, an investigation is underway. The passengers included politicians, Diógenes Quintero, a prominent human rights defender, and Carlos Salcedo, a candidate in the upcoming congressional elections. The U Party expressed sorrow over Quintero's passing, highlighting his dedication to serving his region and commitment to the well-being of others.
