Tragic North Carolina Plane Crash Claims Greg Biffle and Family
Retired NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, his wife, Cristina, their son Ryder, and Greg's daughter, Emma from a previous marriage, tragically lost their lives in a horrific plane crash at Statesville Regional Airport. Also on board were Dennis Dutton, his son Jack, and Craig Wadsworth, who all perished in the accident. The Biffle, Grossu, Dutton & Lunders Families issued a joint statement, and NASCAR, along with driver Bubba Wallace, expressed their condolences on social media. The Cessna C550 jet, owned by Greg's company GB Aviation Leasing LLC, crashed shortly after takeoff, leading to a large fire. Authorities are currently investigating the crash while the airport remains closed for debris removal. Statesville Regional Airport, incidentally used by Fortune 500 companies and some NASCAR teams, is located in Iredell County, around 45 miles north of Charlotte.
