Tragic deaths in Clarke County crash
A tragic accident in Athens, Georgia resulted in the deaths of a pregnant woman and her unborn child after a violent wrong-way crash on the Georgia Highway 10 Inner Loop. The incident unfolded early Saturday when a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Desiree Browning collided with multiple cars before a head-on collision with a 2017 Toyota Camry. The crash, which claimed the lives of Browning and the Toyota driver, also left several others critically injured. Sadly, Lexi Waldroup, the pregnant wife of the Toyota driver, and her unborn child were among the casualties. Family and community members are mourning the devastating loss. The crash is under investigation, marking the eighth fatal accident in Athens-Clarke County this year.
