Tragic crash kills 22-year-old on motorcycle in Clovis
In Clovis, New Mexico, the Clovis Police Department has shared details concerning a fatal accident. The incident occurred on December 25, 2025, at 5:58 p.m., when a motorcycle collided with a vehicle at the intersection of 21st Street and Prince Street. The motorcyclist, 22-year-old Malachi Maldonado, was ejected from the motorcycle upon impact. Despite immediate medical assistance from officers and emergency responders, Maldonado succumbed to his injuries after being airlifted to a hospital in Lubbock, Texas. The driver of the other vehicle involved sustained minor injuries and was treated at Plains Regional Medical Center. The Clovis PD Major Crash Team is actively investigating the accident and is seeking information from any witnesses.
