Tragic Accident Claims Life of 5-Year-Old in Northern Colorado
A tragic accident took the life of a 5-year-old girl in Northern Colorado after a collision involving multiple vehicles. The incident occurred earlier this week on Monday near Highway 85 and 22nd Street. The girl passed away at the hospital following the crash, although the exact time of her death was not specified. According to Greeley police, a Ford Focus driven by a 24-year-old woman was turning left on 22nd Street from Highway 52 when it was struck by a Tesla going south on Highway 85, leading both cars to spin and hit a stationary semi-truck. The young girl, who was in the Focus, was rushed to Children's Hospital Colorado but tragically succumbed to her injuries. The drivers of the vehicles involved sustained varying degrees of injuries, with the occupants of the Tesla and semi-trailer escaping unharmed. Authorities are currently investigating the incident and have not released any names. The deceased child will be identified by the Weld County Coroner's Office.
