Tragic accident claims life of 19-year-old in Rankin County
On Sunday at approximately 1 p.m., emergency personnel in Rankin County, including deputies, firefighters, and paramedics, were dispatched to a single-vehicle accident close to Monterey Road. Upon arrival, they discovered that 19-year-old Collin Avery Knight had been thrown from the pickup truck following a series of rollovers. Knight was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center but unfortunately passed away. The Rankin County Accident Reconstruction Unit is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
