Tragic Accident: 6-year-old Fatally Injured in Grady County Highway Collision
Authorities reported that a 6-year-old child from Comanche lost their life in a multi-vehicle accident on a Grady County highway this past Tuesday. According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, the tragic incident occurred when two vehicles were heading north on U.S. 81 near County Road 1590. One of the drivers slowed down to make a turn onto a private drive, leading to the other driver rear-ending the decelerating vehicle. The child who tragically passed away was in the vehicle that had slowed down. The child's identification has not been disclosed. The occupants in the vehicle – the driver and a passenger – sustained injuries, but the extent of their injuries remains unknown. Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle involved was unharmed.
