Tragedy strikes as 2 Bryant University students die in 146 accident

Tragically, President Ross Gittell of Bryant University announced that two students lost their lives in a collision on Route 146 in Lincoln over the weekend. The students were identified as being from Massachusetts and Georgia. The crash occurred when a driver traveling in the wrong direction caused the accident near exit 7, just prior to the Route 116 exit. Emergency responders, including the Rhode Island Medical Examiner's Office, were present at the crash site. Route 146 was closed for several hours, with the southbound side reopening at 4 a.m. Counseling Services and Campus Ministry staff are offering support to students affected by this heartbreaking event.
