Traffic on I-15 disrupted by six-vehicle crash in Escondido
A collision involving nine vehicles led to the closure of several lanes of southbound I-15 in Escondido on Tuesday morning. The accident, which involved six vehicles, occurred around 5:45 a.m. just North of Via Rancho Parkway, as reported by the CHP. Both carpool lanes and the fast lane were shut down, along with the closure of the Del Lago carpool onramp onto southbound I-15 by Caltrans. Despite the crash, minor injuries were reported, with one individual taken to the hospital. By shortly after 7:15 a.m., the CHP confirmed that the site had been cleared, and all lanes had been reopened.
