Traffic Homicide Unit investigates fatal motorcycle crash near Yacolt

READ MORE | Federal investigation opened into deadly Longview paper mill implosion Officials said emergency crews responded to a report of a crash near the 25200 block of Northeast Worthington Road near Yacolt. “The preliminary investigation indicates the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Northeast Worthington Road when the motorcycle left the roadway on a curve and collided with vegetation off the shoulder,” the agency said in a news release. The rider suffered critical injuries and was flown to a hospital by Life Flight. “The Sheriff’s Office has since learned that the motorcyclist succumbed to his or her injuries,” the agency said. The investigation is ongoing, officials said.
